On April 8th, 2024 we will be experiencing a partial solar eclipse! As incredible as this celestial event is, please do not look directly at the sun. Doing so can cause permanent damage to your retina, leading to serious & irreversible vision impairment.
A few things to note:
*Supervise your children, keep them inside during this time so they do not accidentally look up.
*There are approved solar viewing glasses, these ARE NOT THE SAME AS SUNGLASSES and must comply with the ISO 12312-2 standard. Please always inspect these glasses before using them to confirm they are not torn or scratched.
*Do NOT view the eclipse through a camera lens, telescope or binoculars as this too can cause serious injury to your eyes.
For our area, the partial solar eclipse will occur approximately between 11:54am and 1:39pm. At its maximum, the moon will cover about 23% of the sun which will occur around 12:46pm.

Anterior Blepharitis: It is an inflammatory condition that affects the eyelid margins. It causes symptoms such a itchy & irritated eyelids and leads to dry eyes. Common causes are natural skin bacteria causing scaly skin and debris build-up, or a tiny mite that makes its home in your eyelash follicles.
Generally, at home lid scrubs are recommended but sometimes that is not enough to completely get rid of this build up.
